Prenzlauer Berg

Part of the new Pankow district, Prenzlauer Berg or Prenzlberg as it is sometimes called is one of the most changed from before unification. Formerly a working class district in the old East Germany, Prenzlauer Berg is now a lively, rapidly gentrifying area popular with artists, students and young professionals. Boasting lots of bars, clubs and restaurants, Prenzlauer Berg probably has the best night-life in all of Berlin. It’s also situated very close to Mitte and all the amenities and attractions that that borough offers.

The “up and coming” nature of this area means that Prenzlauer Berg is very popular with investors. Compared to more established areas, real estate prices are cheap and the multitude of students and young professionals in the area mean that renting out a property is easy.
