Charlottenburg is a former borough of Berlin, now part of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf situated in what used to be West Berlin. After Berlin was divided, it became the centre of West Berlin and is also home to the Olympic stadium and the Zoo station.
One of the more established areas of the city, Charlottenburg is seen by some investors as a safe bet and people are more comfortable investing here, amongst upmarket shops and bankers rather than in some of the other poorer districts.
